
Shayne and Sandra Young
A shared passion for the Overland Lifestyle, a love for each other, together with culinary delights, Land Rovers and animals have brought Shayne & Sandra together. The unlikely duo have cemented their relationship together over campfires, food, wine, moonshine, broken vehicles, mud, rain, sun and other tribulations expected with the nomadic Overlanding lifestyle they have embraced. Shayne is an Australian who has traveled the world since his early 20’s on Ducati and KTM motorcycles and in Land Rovers old and new. A certified Land Rover ACE mechanic, his skills in troubleshooting and fixing vehicles on the trail are second to none. Sandra, an American, is a certified Veterinarian Technician who has skills in animal science and a strong understanding of First-Aid care and treatment. Having mastered the art of Campfire cooking she is happier on the trail than in the kitchen at home…and it shows! Together with their Australian Cattle Dogs - Ash & Matilda, they continue to travel the Globe in their custom built Land Rover Defender 130, not only a base for living but an extremely capable offload machine. Shayne & Sandra have been invited to apprentice at places such as Dairy/Cheese farms in Wales, Olive ranches in Greece to Avocado and Beef farms in Australia, they use the skills they know and learn from their adventures to educate and train others they meet during their travels.

The Grander Canyon
Usually on the top 5 of peoples bucket lists is the Grand Canyon..escape from the maddening crowds of tour buses and overpriced novelty shops with us to the unspoiled North rim of the Grand Canyon, accessible only by four wheel drive vehicles, camp in secluded pine forests on the very edge of the canyon, watch that first step out of the tent...it’s a doozy.. watch eagles soar on thermal currents rising from the canyon floor thousands of feet below. Hike down into the canyon on trails seldom used and for the truly adventurous maybe some white water rafting or..what’s on your bucket list?

Mojave Trail
Experience the challenges America’s original settlers faced when crossing the USA by horse and wagon as we drive the very same trails that America’s original overlanders endured. Camp in the very same historic places that these pioneers camped as we circle the wagons dine on authentic “chuck wagon” meals while we regale the stories of these pioneers.

Trans-America-Trail
Come with us on what is undoubtedly one of America’s longest and arduous off-road trail as we meander through breathtaking scenery and challenging trails. Experience the high plains blooming in wildflowers and deep canyon gorges, desert plains and deep sand traps. Camp in areas such as California gulch, Ophir pass, jackass flats, st elmo and other historic places as we climb to elevations over 12,000 feet. Learn tips and tricks from seasoned experts for off-roading and self recovery in a variety of terrain as well as how to use the equipment every off-roader should have on a vehicle.

Backwoods of Death Valley
There is no doubt that Death Valley is a national treasure, it’s unique terrain and extreme environment makes it the backdrop for many adventures, but there is a Death Valley that only the most adventurous of travellers is lucky enough to experience.. come with us as we explore the remotest regions of Death Valley such as the homestead hideout where the infamous Ted Bundy was finally captured , stand in awe as we offer our own theories of how massive rocks leave trails as they mysteriously move seemingly on their own across the plains of The Devils Racetrack, as we tour Scotty’s castle and marvel at the craftsmanship of one mans work as he builds his amazing home.in this harsh environment. Learn the old ways of old school mining as people of days gone by sought their fortunes from the grounds below. Sleep beneath star filled skies as we camp at historic geologists cabins and learn the dangers that are often faced in America’s harshest location.

The Pony Express
Nothing has captured the imagination of young children growing up as the old Wild West, and what old Wild West history would be complete with the Pony Express, images of young daredevil horsemen and women being chased by injuns, bandits and villains alike, all to deliver messages from one side of the USA to the other.. for such a relatively short lived service it left an indelible mark in the history books and still lives on in the imagination of adults and kids alike. Come with us as we retrace the steps of this iconic route and learn of the many dangers these young heroes faced. And drift off to sleep under star filled skies and the sounds of long gone galloping horses speeding across the countryside.

Baja Exploration
Join us as we journey this great area, where fertile oceans meet arid desert. As we explore missions founded in the 1600’s, enjoy dolphins escorting us to watery playgrounds where whales play and show off their new babies to excited visitors, a land dotted with UNESCO world heritage sites, dive with whale sharks and bask in the warm waters of beaches that constantly rank in the top 10 in the world. Enjoy the wonders of Baja from the border to the tip, Cabo San Lucas and everything in between as we dine on local fare and enjoy a Baja most aren’t fortunate enough to experience.

Snakes ‘n’ gators
Come experience 2 of the worlds most prehistoric apex predators, as we trek through the vast ecosystem of the Florida Everglades in search of snakes and gators that can grow to 15 feet in length or more, learn how these prehistoric creatures hunt and consume their prey, learn how to safely capture these huge beasts. Camp out in the middle of this vast remoteness with black bears and the mating calls of huge territorial gators. Trips will include airboat rides to remote encampments in the middle of the swamps as well as gator wrestling tips and tricks.

White Rim Trail - Moab Utah
Join us as we explore the remote areas of Utah, the white rim trail is a 3 day loop trip that offers a sample of everything Utah has to offer..camping under star filled skies and campfire cooking with introductory courses on orienteering and map reading, wilderness first aid and survival and off road recovery.
